Yes… yes it is… Our new bus! Our new home!

image

Heath and I drove to Missouri picked up our bus and drove home. The kids had no idea, they thought we were out on a date night.
So so so much excitement once they realized. So much so that we went to sam houston state park for the night (4 miles down the road) so they could sleep on it.

Not the greatest photo but we spent the night watching movies and eating pizza 😉 they were so happy.
Since we have had the bus we have now cleaned it and now we are packing it up.  Slowing getting the house finished… fingers crossed we should be closing on the house December 5th or the 8th and we will be on our bus permenantly.
More photos to come… have been so busy, I plan on doing a photo shoot really soon.

Buddha has found his spot!!!

So here I am thinking the buyers of our home will be finding their buyer around Christmas time…. hahaha yeah… Nope! Found out late Tuesday night they were signing an offer for the sale of their home, and the guy wants to close December 15th… Holy cow!!! Need to get this show on the road.
Paint paint paint… anyone wanna come help me prime this 3400 square foot home… lol… nope… ok…
Looks like we will be trying to get our bus/home within the next month… stay tuned for a bus update… fingers crossed we can make it all happen!!! So so so excited here!!! Photos to come soon…
The beginning of our new life…

Oh my… oh my… oh my… The papers for the house are signed, the buyers home is for sale, now we wait and finish selling everything we own.
Only 2 large items are left our mattresses and the tractor everything else is gone! I believe one more yard sale will about do it.

I have butterflies in my stomach every day when I wake, is today the day! Kids are so excited…
Looks like a road trip to Missouri is going to be coming very soon to go purchase the bus we have got our eyes on. Fingers crossed it will not sell before we can get to it.
Clock is ticking for us to our nomadic life.

My gosh it has been too long since I wrote a blog post. Thought it was about time to catch up and record everything that has happened.

As I sit here enjoying a glass of Merlot and contemplating all the things I have to get done I feel overwhelmed until I remember what it is all for.

Our plans for a nomadic life are getting closer and closer. Almost everything in our house is sold, contents wise, still need to have a few yard sales, which I have to admit make me extremely anxious, luckily I have a wonderful husband that understands and says to set it up for when I know he will be home.

So the biggest news… WE HAVE A BUYER!!! woo hoo! we no longer have to look for someone to buy our home we just have to wait for them to sell their home and all will be said and done… I will admit that I feel nervous and excited at the same time. We have to try and co-inside the sale of our home with the buying of the perfect bus, unfortunately the buses we had our eyes on are all sold so we are back to the drawing board I have faith that that everything will work its way out.

I want this to be a smooth transition for our family, but having a 15 years old can make it very tumultuous, he is unsure of what he wants and I am his target for any anger whether it be anger towards his non existent father or the thought of leaving his newly made friends here in Louisiana. No matter the staying or leaving there is no pleasing a teenager, so we move on with the hopes that he will find something in his life to love or at least be happy about.

So here starts the countdown to the life I have dreamed about for so long. Stay tuned…

Love, peace and ultimate happiness to all… we all deserve it! Dream it and live it!

Just had to share this bad boy! I was wanting a frozen drink and wasn’t sure what to make, so after a quick look at my ‘limited’ supplies I decided to wing it. Well it is A-MAZE-ING!!!

I have ended up with this Frozen Raspberry Pomegranate Lemon Diva!

20131024-221348.jpg 20131024-221406.jpg

Here is the recipe:

  • 1 1/2 – 2 cups of Raspberry Pomegranate Smirnoff (I poured all had left into it hehe!!)
  • 2 Tbsp agave (about this much I never measure anything!)
  • Juice from 2 lemons
  • A small amount of water
  • 2 cups of frozen Raspberries
  • 2 cups of Ice

I threw all of these in my BlendTec in that order and pressed the ice crush cycle. Then I rinsed the jar out and added:

  • a little under a cup of whipping cream
  • a squirt or two of agave

Pulsed it a few times and added everything to a very large Larger mug 😉 it made enough to fill my glass twice.

This was  a really refreshing drink and just finished off this day right.

I hope you try it and give me you feed back… if you make any tweaks to it I would love to hear about it!

Love to you all!! And Cheers!!!

Phase one is complete. My wonderful husband has got himself a new job, he starts on Thursday. I am so happy for him, he going to be doing exactly what he wants!

Almost every large item we have has been sold. We just have yard sales to go… I have to admit yard sales give me major anxiety… hoping to be able to get through this without too many paper bags 😉

What is left? Well to sell the house we have to finish a few things… the floors and painting all the walls white…sounds easy enough until I remember that i have to paint all 3400 square feet of this house… I will get it done! I will!  Heath is going to be away for work so I know me… I will be school teacher/mother by day and contractor by night. I have always had trouble sleeping so I will use my time wisely while he is gone…

Wish me luck!

I am so excited for our new venture that I will get it all done in no time 😉

I am so looking forward to meeting all you wonderful women out there in the U.S. of A. that I want to get this show on the road!

Oh how I love my life now… Bad days… Good days>>> They all have purpose!!!

LOVE to you all!

Only a few large items left to sell!!! We have already sold all of our bed frames, couches, gym equipment etc. Dinning room table/chairs, washer/dryer and the sectional are the only large things left that are hard to sell at yard sales.

I am so excited about our new venture, but there is still so much to do. Over the next week we have to paint all the interior walls of our 3400 square foot house white. This includes all the trim, base boards and crown molding… hahaha! it is a good thing that I do not mind painting, although I am sure by the time I am done I will gladly throw all of the painting gear in the trash! I am lucky enough to have some friends that are will in to help me out.

Heath have to finish some floors, we have really wood bamboo flooring upstairs and only 2 rooms are left to do. 🙂

So, So, So close to putting the house on the market. Cannot wait until the sign is finally in the yard!

While this is all going on we are also experimenting with the Excalibur Dehydrator, as we are planning on eating RAW as much as possible while on the road. For several reasons, one the health benefit can not be denied and we will be visiting so many farmers markets and organic farms on our travels! I am going to be putting posts together that will be about what I find out about dehydrating 🙂 the pros, cons and what works and doesn’t. I am lucky enough to have 6 test subjects in the form of kids and the hubby!!!!

I think the most stressful, anxiety inducing thing that I have come across that I have to do is the Yard sale!! I have such a hard time getting it all together… I have been enlisting friends to help me do it as it looks as though we may have to have a yard sale every week until we move. What ever is left will be donated gladly to various organizations around here. I have already put together several bags of boys clothing for a group that visits a Haiti boys orphanage. and I have lots more that I will be donating in the way of clothing to CARC, Salvation Army and Goodwill.

So it is back to the grind stone for me, I have to start the painting sometime and there is no better time than right now… SO here’s to a paint filled weekend!!!

  Deep Breath and Breathe!!!

So what is our big news!!! We are moving! And we are not moving just anywhere we are selling everything we own, including the house! We are finally leaving Louisiana. We are going to be buying a converted bus and travelling the United States for the next year or more… Look out we are coming your way! Heath, our five wonderful children and I are going to visit all 50 states!

We are so excited! Just a few more things to do… Selling the house is number one!

Looking forward to meeting some wonderful people along our way!

Eating raw is our goal!

Visiting farmers markets!

Visiting historic places!

We have given the big kids a print out of all 50 states they are finding at least 5 things in at least 5 different states that they want to visit and we are going to incorporate it into our journey.

Everyone in the house is so excited and wants this to happen now, but as all adults know there are steps that have to happen before, that can take time… So stay tuned for updates on or new amazing journey!!!
